How do we work?
Step 1 – Preparation
The subfloor is prepared after which the bonding layer (primer) is applied. Here the so-called leveling and compaction layer is applied, also called the scraping layer. This layer also ensures the strength build-up of the system to prevent cracking, among other things. Depending on the type of subfloor and the primer that goes with it, the scraping layer may be applied on the 1st day directly after the bonding layer.
Step 2 – Sanding and Cleaning
After sanding and cleaning the scrape layer, it is time for the first Lava Stone color layer. This needs to dry until the next day, then is sanded again after which the second Lava Stone color layer can be applied.
Step 3 – Finishing Touch
The finishing touch of your Lava Stone Cast Floor. Again, we sand the last Lava Stone color layer and clean it thoroughly. After this, a Clearcoat layer is applied. This is to make your Errelab Lava Stone Cast Floor strong, wear-resistant, scratch-resistant and easy to maintain.
Sustainability
The choice of the type of lacquer is also very important for the final use of your cast floor. We have deliberately chosen a chemically matted lacquer. You should know that the chemically matted lacquer has a much denser structure than the powder matted lacquer, so it is much less susceptible to dirt and stains. And very pleasant to maintain.

If the subfloor does not fully meet the requirements for applying our Lava Stone Cast Floor, we can pre-treat it in most cases so that it does. For example, you should consider leveling before applying the Lava Stone Cast Floor. The advantage of this is that after leveling we have a much flatter starting point, which greatly benefits the final result of the cast floor system.
